Voluntary changes before and after flight departure

Reminder: If you are a business customer with an active agreement under the avianca empresas program, you may voluntarily make changes to your itinerary (date/route/time) or the passenger's name, before and after flight departure. If your company is an access level company, you must have an active membership to access the avianca corporate program's pre- and post-flight benefits. 

Types of changes:
        • name transfer: The itinerary remains the same, but the ticket's beneficiary changes. The ticket must be unused to request this change.
        • name change: Refers to the change of the ticket holder's name. The request must be made through the original purchase channel, and any applicable penalties must be paid. The ticket must be unused.
        • name correction (up to 3 letters): You may correct up to 3 letters of the first or last name. The ticket may be partially used for this request.
        • name correction (more than 3 letters): This allows for the addition of a first, middle, or last name, the correction of inverted name details, rectification of a nickname or alias, or the completion of an incomplete name. The ticket may be partially used for this request. 
        • route change: You are permitted to modify the date, route, or time of your flight as needed.

After Flight Departure: Applicable for Flex and Business fares only

Channels for making changes:

Before Flight Departure:

    1. Manage my booking
    2. Contact Center: Available 24/7. Name transfers can be requested through this channel, with costs based on the class of fare.
    3. Name change and correction form. Accessible through the avianca empresas help center, available from 6 AM to 9 PM. 

Note: Route changes must be made only through the Contact Center. 

After Flight Departure:

  1. Contact Center: Available 24/7. Please take into account that this option can be used for name transfers, with costs determined by the fare class
Consideraciones
        • Changes must be made through the original purchase channel.
        • To make changes after the flight departure, the tickets must have been purchased with session initiated in the avianca empresas portal or through the travel agency using the company's Account Code. 
        • To make changes through the contact center, the registered super administrator must be the one to contact. 
        • If your company is an access level company, changes can only be requested for employees previously registered as travelers in the avianca empresas portal.
